Game-Specific Rules
To keep things as competitive as possible we often have special in game rules. The rules for the current ladder are listed here. If you have any suggestions for rule changes that would improve the Ladder please feel free to submit them via email.
Default Settings
When players cannot agree on the settings prior to beginning the match, these following settings shall be used:
Cheat Codes: Disabled
Mapping Mode: Mapped
Commander Dies: Game Ends
Locations: Random
Line Of Site: True
Resource Settings: 1000 Energy Units and 1000 Metal
Game Speed is to be played normal. No speed jacking is allowed.
Requirements
First of all you need to be registered and your name must appear on the Standings. Plus, all players that are signed up must have the following requirements:
Total Annihilation game installed
3.1 patch (non boneyards patch) installed properly
All the Core Contingency Units
The six downloadable Cavedog Units (fark, flea, scarab, necro, immolator, and hedgehog)
Commander Rushing Rule
Any player may attack another commander with any unit at any time. During the first 10 minutes of the game no player may commander rush another players starting base. However, any base outside the players starting area may be commander rushed at any time. After the 10 minute mark anything goes. However, any commander that dguns, self destructs, or commander bombs another commander will result in a loss. Simply there are no draws! If two commanders are fairly close and one explodes from the weapons of other units that person loses no matter if it causes the other commander to explode as well.
Map Choice
If both players can NOT agree on a map to play on, then the higher ranked (best ranked) player is to be the one to choose the map that the game will be played on. If both players are unranked, The player with the ID closet to zero chooses the map. Watching mode must be disabled, unless a referee/Admin/Tournament Director has been asked to watch or has notified you they will be watching.
NOTE: These are the default rules for all your ladder games. However, players themselves may use addition rules if they like. Just remember that all rules must be typed out in the battleroom. If nothing is said in the battleroom then the game is to be played with the default rules. Some players may want to have unit restriction, ta demo restrictions etc. You may do so but remember to specify the rules in the battleroom. The recorder saves the chat log in the battleroom and thats why it is important to list down any additional rules. Now both players need to agree on these additional rules. If both players can not agree then the game is to be played with the default rules.
